Meet Winsome A. Anderson, CPA
Winsome is the Principal Consultant & CEO of the firm. She founded W.A. Anderson CPA, leveraging more than two(2) decades of progressive experience as an accounting, finance and audit leader for organizations across multiple industries. She started her career in public accounting at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Kingston, Jamaica providing financial audit and consulting services to clients. She subsequently transitioned into corporate accounting as a Financial Controller and Director of Accounting for companies in Kingston, Jamaica and the South Florida area and later as a SOX Consultant for publicly traded entities such as AutoNation, Levitt Corporation and Sheridan Healthcare ( now a part of Envision Physician Services).
With business financial analysis as one of her core competencies, Winsome is able to readily assess companies financial performance and promptly advise management on any changes which may be necessary to ensure strategic goals are achieved. Her solid background in compliance and risk management also help her clients proactively avert challenges, reduce costs and develop stronger systems of internal control.
Winsome attended the University of Technology, Jamaica where she earned a diploma in Business Administration (majoring in accounting), and graduated with honors.
Winsome is a Chartered Accountant with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and a Certified Public Accountant(CPA) licensed in the states of Florida and California. She is a member of the Florida Institute of CPAs (FICPA) and the American Institute of CPAs(AICPA).
Outside of the professional realm, Winsome is a proud Mom to three young adults, an avid NBA Fan, enjoys listening to all genre of music and loves home interior designing & decorating.
